Basically if you own a house in California, you can build on your lot up to four units currently.

So before you couldn’t allow to do that because if you live in a single family home, you only can build single family home there. But now with new law because we don’t have enough real estate in California, stay decided to create this law and help people build more.

So basically you can split your lot in two and build two homes on each lot.
